Configuring and testing outbound VPN connections
Objective:
Create and test a VPN connection to your computer using the Remote Access Service.
This simulation gives you a chance to practice configuring and testing outbound VPN connections. When you have completed the simulation, click the OK, I'm Done button.
Scenario
You need to configure a Virtual Private Network connection within your intranet in order to secure communication between your computer and a VPN server.
Instructions
In this simulation, you will configure a VPN connection to another computer on your intranet. We will go through the steps involved in creating a VPN connection using PPTP, and then test that connection. Unlike the other simulations within this course, there are a few steps you'll need to figure out on your own. We'll tell you what to do, but figuring out how to do it will be your task in this exercise. If you get stuck, feel free to email the course tutors by clicking the Tutor button in the toolbar.
